D3 2007 1/24 TSR racing class rules (version V4, 12-21-07)

1. Intent
The intention of this class is to provide a class of ready-to-race slot cars of fixed format, available over the counter in kit or RTR form to beginners and experts alike, with scale realism and low cost. TSR racing provides a form of driving school that improves the patience and discipline needed to race in faster classes. Races will be conducted solely with TSR cars fitted with TSR-approved bodies, in the classes deemed most suitable for each particular event in the Division III racing calendar.

3. Chassis rules
3a. Only TSR parts may be used on the cars. All guide pins must be radius-ed in the shape of a ball to protect the tracks.
3b. Pin guide shoulder may not protrude past the bottom surface of the chassis.
3c. It is allowed to glue the front tires on the rims and clear-coat them to reduce friction.
3d. Maximum rear-axle width is 3.25" for 1/24 scale, 2.25" for 1/32 scale.
3e. Allowed and recommended chassis modifications are: installation of a 3/32" brass tubing to reinforce the front axle mount and the use of one (1/32 scale) or two (1/24 scale) bolts and nuts to permanently affix the nylon chassis to the steel body mount, moving the guide pin in the center of braided contacts and the addition of rear wheel spacers to bring the rear-axle width to maximum allowed dimension.

4. 2008 Race Procedures
4a. Six races each will be conducted with Class-A cars, six with Class-B cars. A single Grand Champion will be named by addition of the 8 best results from 12 races.

Any matter regarding this class must be submitted in writing to Division III Committee member Philippe de Lespinay.
