This Open-Wheel race was the first to feature hand-out motors supplied at no charge by TSRF. Because of time constraints, the motors had not been hand selected to provide equal performance and if some were very fast, others quite slow, a difference of 1/2 second per lap on the "Hillclimb" between extremes. Regardless the racing was good and everyone had lots of fun.

Philippe used a bit of paint, a black marker and a MAC "Lay-down" driver to enhance the look of the plain-red body. Old Russkit decals completed the process. |

Tore Anderson's Cooper-Maserati in Swedish colors. Tore fell to remember that Swedish hero Jo Bonnier's Cooper was... red! Next to it is the Lotus 49-C of Jeff Easterly. |

Indy cars in the mix, the Lotuses Type 56 turbine of John Kallas and Paul Sterrett. If John did draw a pretty good motor, poor Paul ended with a boat anchor of a motor, and only Philippe's motor was slower. Outch! |

The winning combination: Tore flanked by Mike Steube who also built Tore's car as well as Philippe's, and John Emmons who drove to a well deserved 3rd place. |
