The “Jupiter” was released in 1950 by the British company Jowett. This particular unit, nicknamed “Sagacious II”, was enrolled in the 24 Hours of Le Mans at a time when only 3 prototypes existed. Driven by Tom Wisdom and Tommy Wise, they achieved a surprising class victory. The production cars were imported to America to compete with the MG TD and Singer.
